The King of Amank. Gelaren is the descendant of distant cousin of the King who was too minor and too far removed for the Kerns to hunt down and execute after they invaded a century ago. At the start of the war of independence, Gelaren was the figurehaed of the Amankian resistance and became a great general an strategist during the war. His military prowess, along with his charisma, ensured that there was little opposition to him taking up his family's crown 30 years ago at the end of the war.
