The Black Wing
The largest mercenary company in Dawnshield, the Black Wing are led by the tiefling Kara Blake. They are led like a private army, undertaking jobs across the kingdom. Their vetting and recruitment is famously harsh, weeding out all unskilled warriors. Anyone wishing to join is required to hunt a vicious beast in The Kingswood or The Silver Peaks.
Scipio Bruscius often utilises the Black Wing when his guards are stretched thin, or for work outside the city. In recent years, he has been forced to rely on them more and more as the shanties outside the city expand beyond the scope of his men. However, more recently, the Black Wing have been charging ever more, their talents coming into demand across the kingdom, leading the captain to begin looking elsewhere.
