Scipio Bruscius

The captain of the Dawnshield city guard, Scipio Bruscius' early life after coming of age was spent in the Avalyran military. He quickly showed an aptitude for command, but was forced to retire after only 10 years service after suffering an injury in battle. Once healed, Scipio joined up with the Dawnshield city guard, rapidly rising through the ranks. In 760, he was promoted to citywide captain, outranked only by the captain of Owyne Gaillard's royal guard. As captain, Bruscius wears his family's dragon motif, emblazoned across his breastplate, rather than the more typical sun or griffon found on the city guard.
