Bloodaxes

A relatively large clan, the Bloodaxes make their home north of the Northern Reaches border with the Tiarun. While not as warlike as the Bone Tusks, they are a martial society, lead by the most powerful warrior among them, currently Avuk Manslayer. Unlike many other tribes, strength is not the only factor for the Bloodaxes, with intelligence and even magic playing a part in their selection. Avuk is widely known to be a particularly intelligent and tactical leader.

History

In the early 500s, a group of orcs descended from members of the Bloody Maw tribe left the Ebon Maw clan, forming the Bloodaxes. The schism was brought about by the group's disapproval of Ebon Maw's peaceful ways, with the newly formed Bloodaxes harbouring a desire for war with the other races of Amion. Moving south, they eventually settled in 516, west of the Brancheley Stronghold mountain pass.

Religion

Even after their split with the Ebon Maw, the Bloodaxes kept the religion of their old tribe. The clan holds the old orcish gods, Begtar and Sokdos, in high regard; the majority of them are devout worshippers of the two. However, unlike the Ebon Maw, many of them have taken to seeing Krothys as evil, and the other races as creations of the dark god. This disagreement wihin the clan persists to this day.
