Pandora's Box is an artifact capable of channeling and controlling the
universal laws of
Life,
Matter and
Soul. It can be used as a tool of creation, allowing new worlds and new forms of life to be created at will. Due to its absolutely limitless power, Pandora's Box is known to the
Empyreal Gods as a
Creation Engine.
When opened, the Box can also shape the
Universe by itself, bringing into being fantastical creatures and wondrous cosmic structures in the blink of an eye. Such a chaotic surge of raw creation gives pause even to the
Empyreal Gods in its unpredictability.
Creation Engine
There are two Creation Engines in the universe: Pandora's Box and the
Trinity. Both have been present in every cycle of the immeasurable existence of the cosmos. The gods shy away from using them, fearing their terrible power and the dangers within.
As a Creation Engine, Pandora's Box is formed from the mystical fusion of three specific Progenitor Relics: the
Grail, the
Aether and the
Animus. The artifact can also be disassembled back into these three components. Both the assembling and disassembling of a Creation Engine require an astoundingly sophisticated magical ritual to be performed, and the workings of such magic are known only to the eldest of beings.
