Animus

The Animus is an artifact that allows spiritual energy in the form of Souls to flow into the Universe from the Living Infinite. Without the Animus there would be no sentient life in the cosmos. The Animus is also able to tap directly into the spiritual energy of the Living Infinite, creating souls seemingly from nothing.
The Animus is also known as the Progenitor Relic of Souls. The six Progenitor Relics are mysterious artifacts of immeasurable power that predate the creation of the Universe, their mere existence being the cause for the six Laws of Creation that define the very nature of reality. Since the creation of the universe by the Empyreal Gods, the Animus has belonged to Anthos, the God of Death.
