Cilia Beldevere

Serah Cilia Beldevere the Brightheart is one of the longest serving members of the Kingsguard. She is a beloved celebrity in Caraegwyn, known by the common folk for her humble demeanor and jovial personality. Moreover, Serah Cilia is widely regarded as the greatest swordfighter in the realm.
In addition to being a famous knight and a scion of one of the Great Houses, Cilia is also a wife to a world-famous and opulent merchant, a prodigious warrior and the wielder of the legendary sword Faithkeeper. In the annual tournament games held at Caernarfon she remains undefeated in the grand melee. Her fortunes rouse jealousy among other knights and noble ladies, but as a kingsguard knight, Cilia is mostly spared from politicking and court intrigue.

History

Serah Cilia was hand-picked by the captain of the Kingsguard to join the prestigious order at the young age of 19. Having never been a questing knight, she cannot boast with long lists of chivalrous deeds and fulfilled oaths. However, she career has built for her a prodigious reputation as a swordfighter and duelist. While most knights shy away from the sacred and to-the-death trials by combat, Cilia is always an eager volunteer. Indeed, she has slain several infamous warriors in single combat, such as the latest Black Knight, the rebellious egean warlord Lord Darius Fryar, and the pirate king Caburh the Bloody.
