The Bay of Serpents, a sea in the farthest north of the worlds, centered on Rupes Nigra. It is a dangerous primordial Faewylde of some of the strongest and most chaotic magik recorded.

Geography

The Bay of Serpents is a sea in the farthest North of the worlds, stretching between the black mirrored surface of the Mor Marv and the chaotic Maelstrom of Rupes Nigra. Gandvik is seperated from the main body of the Mor Marv by a narrow strait known as Wyrmfang, stretching between two desolate shores of barren jagged rocks stretching into the mist above. While the bay itself is thought to be semi-circular, it is filled with dangerous labyrinth full of fjords, islands and channels, before opening once more into the Maelstrom surrounding the Black Isle. The ring of stone peaks continues to the East and West, blocking approach from Fjallkonan and joining with the landmass of he Lost Peninsula.   Despite advances in navigation and transport, there is no recorded voyage that has successfully arrived at or traveled past Rupes Nigra.

Localized Phenomena

Gandvik is one of the most magically active locations in the world, a chaotic whirlwind of unrestrained power gushing out of the gaping tear in The Veil beyond Rupes Nigra, a potential opening to Old Faerie. The Gaoithe Sidhe light up the night sky with brilliant flashes of aurora, overwhelming even the most sensitive Windstones and rendering them entirely black, devoid of light. Navigation becomes impossible as ships and windships near the Black Isle.
