County of Durrocassis

History

During the Misty Times, Durrocassis was one of the clans that would eventually become Gallia, engaged in a near constant struggle against the Kornikaned of Perche. It joined with Clovis I, King of Gallia during the initial alliance of the Gallian clans, but the region remained largely unpopulated until later in its history.   A pair of abbeys were established in the region, beginning a trend of settlement and development.

Territories

Durrocassis is located in Northern Gallia, between the forested County of Perche, the Manchais County of Evereux, and the Counties of Nogent and Chartres.   Several tributaries of the Sena River pass through the region. The region is prone to floods and mudslides.

Foreign Relations

Durocassis is a border town, marking the gateway between Gallia and La Manche, as well as the largely untouched wilderness of Perche.

Agriculture & Industry

Durocassis operates a large shopping Halle, which draws visitors annually from as far away as Arle. The city is renowned for its drapery.
