Vag Darohm
A small dwarven city within the Migrur Peaks in Falennor. While it is small, it has grown from a small settlement, and the originating families of the settlers still live there to this day. The settlement is overseen by a town chief who has advisers from the three main families of the city: the Stormhammers, the Ironbows, and the Silverturns. The city is within the Migrur Peaks, and there is an entrance to the tunnels on the east side of the mountain range.
Vag Darohm's greatest source of income is their rare mineral deposits of star metal, said to have fallen from the sky and hit the earth before the Migrur Peaks were fully formed. This ore is extremely rare and can be melded with iron to make very high quality weapons and armour, and also make it easier to imbue enchantments and magic into them. The best deposits are a closely guarded family secret of the Stormhammers, which has made them the most influential family of the three noble families. Also, just outside of the caverns of Vag Darohm is a forest that contains trees found only in rare, arid parts of the world. Blood pine is a much sought after lumber due to it's rich burgundy colour and it's resistance to wear, like most pine. Additionally, it actually has resistance to fire, and takes a lot of fire to set it ablaze.
There has been a feud between the Silverturns and the Ironbows for centuries, and they are constantly trying to one up each other and sabotage each other's work.

Government
Clan-based, mostly, with the three predominant families running the majority of the show. There is a neutral town chief that is elected as a representative, but they are often elected from lesser known families as a way to keep things unbiased. The town is very big on mining and blacksmithing, creating many works of arts with their star metal found in the caverns.
Industry & Trade
Star metal, blood pine, and a variety of equipment made by master blacksmithers and jewelers.
Infrastructure
The city has been built in a large cavern, where homes and buildings can be seen inside the cavern walls going up. At the very top of the cavern is the estates of the three main families, as well as the mayor's estate. There are a variety of thick stairs and railings that go up the walls, but for a more direct route, there are a series of pulleys that one can use to go straight to a certain level.
The Arm of the All Father: The pulley system that is much ahead of it's time in mechanics. It occupies the direct center of the city, and consists of a large slab of mithril, due to it's lightweight and durable nature. There are thick chains on all four corners which ascend to the top of the cavern where there are pulley systems. At each level there are stone bridges converge onto a circular deck where the platform can pass through the center. There are eight levels in total, and a gnome or dwarf operates this in shifts, using weighted discs as counter weights and a small hand break.
The Star Estate: Home to the Stormhammers, on level 8.
The Silver Halls: Ancestral home to the Silverturns, on level 8.
The Iron Manor: Home to the Ironbows, on level 8.

Guilds and Factions
The Traveller's Fellowship: A guild of primarily inventors. There are some adventurers in the guild, more to help the other members collect ingredients or special materials for the inventors of the guild. There are big supporters of change an ingenuity, however, they are also known to enjoy a little prank of two (all in good fun of course). Their guildhall resides on level 3
Smiths of Tholgir: A guild of blacksmiths, striving to meet the standards of their founder, Tholgir Thunderfist. Tholgir believed in always making your best creation, always improving, and whenever you finished making something it had to be your newest best creation. No regressing. A very boorish and stubborn lot, but you won't find the same quality anywhere else. This large smithy resides on level 2, and takes up a huge amount of space that includes at least ten different furnaces for various blacksmiths.
Ironbow Foundry: The biggest foundry in the city, it is run by the Ironbow family, and they deal with the majority of the commissions from the city to make weapons for the soldiers of Vag Darohm. Often times they can also make commission molds for others to use, or they will often make molds and casts for copper wires and part required for other guilds and businesses. They are on level 1, due to the danger of having molten metal around.

Architecture
Almost everything is made out of the stone of the cavern, however, there are a few personal touches here and there, and you will often see any wooden elements of the homes to be made out of blood pine.
