Dysenbon

You are trekking through a thick, lush forest of green, being a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. Bushes clog the undergrowth, as well as shrubs and flowers of all sorts. You push your way past one more thicket, and clear sky opens above you as you catch sight of spires made of white marble growing side by side with trees that must be as old as the city itself. The streets are neatly paves with light grey stones, and yet it never once seems to cover up the nature around it. Small wildflowers push up between some of the bricks, trees of vibrant colours frame the road leading towards the heart of the city. Further along the main road, you catch sight of a magnificent fountain that seems to be made of glass, it's shape depicting that of a wolf wreathed in thorny roses. Your eyes follow the main road, only to alight on the largest tree you have ever seen. It appears to be the center of the entire city, and as your eyes roam upwards to it's apex, you catch sight of a breathtaking palace that the tree appears to have grown around. The palace itself is built of flawless, white marble, and sits at the focal point of the tree's branches. The branches themselves, grow around the palace, forming a protective cage. There is a winding path that seems to be naturally grown around the surface of the trunk, leading all the way up to this palace of Dysenbon.

Infrastructure

The center of the city is a massive oak tree that houses the royal keep within it's trunk. There is a small canal that circles the base of the tree, and it is fed by Lake Hynemia. There are spiraling, white towers, and some houses are built from the forest while others accent it nicely with bleached stone. The large roads are cobbled with stone that has moss growing in the cracks.

History

It is said that Dysenbon is built upon the ancient ruins of Mithrindal, an elven city that fell thousands of years ago. It fell during an age where men first came to the land, and humans and elves clashed in their beliefs, livelihood, and perspective. War waged between the two races for 200 years, before an elven man, Rysíndor, and a human woman, Emilia, fell in love and led both of their people to rebel against their kings' fruitless and devastating war. After the previous hierarchies were toppled, the people crowned Rysíndor and Emilia their King and Queen, and to this day, their bloodline remains true and their ideals remain strong. Previous King Korryn (high elf), before the unity of the elves of Mithrindal and the humans that came from over the Casduen Sea.
