Norðanverr

Men of the West

The Norðanverr are a human race who inhabit the central most region of Kvenland, in a land called Norðanheim. They are the northwestern most race of humans and tend to be highly religious. Most are separated into many cults, orders and noble houses often causing civil conflict; however, they're still very capable of defending their borders against other races.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are anthropomorphic, with two arms, two legs and an endoskeleton. They have very faint hair covering their body, with much more on their heads.

Males are often larger and stronger than females; however, females are more flexible and have stronger immune systems since they bear children.

They reproduce as most mammals do, with a 9 month gestation period.

They reach adolescence within twelve to fourteen years and adulthood within eighteen to twenty.

They are omnivores and require a balanced diet of meat and plants.

History

When the human races diverged, the Norðanverr travelled to the temperate forests of central Kvenland. Noticing themselves to be the most northern race of humans, they went to calling themselves the Northerners and the land they had settled to the Northern Home. From Norðanheim they quickly separated into various groups, some using the rich metals in the eastern and northern mountains to build great civilizations, and others resorting to nomadic and barbaric life in the wilds. Those to the far west became influenced with stories of the Seraphim over the mountains, creating holy orders and kingdoms.

While most tend to be fairly pale, they can range to a darker beige colour. Their hair is also on the lighter spectrum, ranging from blonde to ginger and light brunette.
