Colossal Sand Squid
When The Turbulence happened, everything went topsy turvy on the area The Old Sea. The sea dried up in a magical storm, ash and fire raining from the sky. But not all was lost; those animals who did not perish, mutated through wild magic and adapted to their new surroundings. Like Sky Whales, also colossal squids learned to live in the sea of sand.
Smaller (colossal) squids are a rather normal sighting in the area of The Old Sea, but the real big ones are very rare. There are rumours among The Fey'ri tribes that there is one great colossal squid, called the Matriarch, which is the oldest and nastiest of them all. Every no wand then some brave warriors head out to destroy the beast, but they rarely return alive... Are rumours just rumours, who knows...

Basic Information
Anatomy
The squid is huge in size and it has 10 tentacles of which 2 are longer 'arms'. It's easy for its size to easily eat a humanoid.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Colossal squids eat whatever they can get their tentacles on, but mostly live on gazelles, Dune Pigs and other small critters that live on the area.
It hunts by hiding in the sand and then ambushing its prey and dragging it underneath the sand, suffocating them.

The eyesight of the squids is rather poor, but they are very sensitive when it comes to tremors and sounds.
