Archivist Supreme
Current: Archivist Supreme Elxa Dhal
- Job: The ultimate leader of the Order, responsible for overseeing all operations, setting the Order’s strategic goals, and safeguarding the most sacred and ancient records. They commune with elder magi or divine entities to ensure the Order’s mission aligns with the greater good.
- Duties: Final arbiter in disputes, protector of the Annals of Eternity (a mythical tome said to contain the world’s true history), and chief diplomat with other Orders or factions.
Lorekeeper Eternal
- Job: Second-in-command and the keeper of the Order’s deepest secrets. They ensure the continuity of knowledge across generations and oversee the training of high-ranking members.
- Duties: Manages the Vault of Ages (a secure repository of records), interprets prophecies, and advises the Archivist Supreme on matters of existential threats.
Guardian Scribe
- Job: A member of the High Council tasked with protecting the Order’s physical and magical defenses. They specialize in warding magic to shield records from the Necroking’s forces.
- Duties: Maintains protective runes, leads defensive rituals, and coordinates with field operatives to secure endangered artifacts or texts.

Specialized professions within The Annals that serve to protect the history of the word in their own ways.
Chronicler Adept
- Job: Senior scholars who oversee the collection, transcription, and preservation of historical records. They are skilled in both mundane and magical methods of documentation.
- Duties: Supervises teams of Scribes, verifies the authenticity of recovered texts, and researches the Necroking’s past to uncover weaknesses.
Warden of Tomes
- Job: A combat-ready mage tasked with defending libraries, archives, and expeditions from necromantic incursions. They blend martial prowess with protective magic.
- Duties: Guards key locations, trains initiates in combat, and leads recovery missions to reclaim lost or stolen records.
Seer of Threads
- Job: A diviner who uses foresight to predict the Necroking’s moves and locate lost histories before they are destroyed. They weave past and future into actionable knowledge.
- Duties: Casts divinations, interprets omens, and maintains the Tapestry of Time (a magical artifact tracking historical events).
Scribes
Those who trudge through the day to day work and keep the Orders histories dated, catalogued, and recorded
Scribe Initiate
- Job: Entry-level members who assist in the meticulous task of copying and cataloging records. They are the backbone of the Order’s preservation efforts.
- Duties: Transcribes texts, maintains lesser archives, and studies under Chronicler Adepts to advance their skills.
Field Quill
- Job: Adventurous agents sent into the world to recover endangered records or investigate rumors of lost histories. They often face the Necroking’s minions directly. They often work alongside the Order of Whispers .
- Duties: Retrieves artifacts, documents findings in the field, and reports to Wardens or Chroniclers about threats encountered.

- Job: A specialized role focused on countering necromantic corruption. They use magic to purify or seal records tainted by the Necroking’s influence.
- Duties: Performs cleansing rituals, identifies cursed texts, and assists in research to thwart necromantic spells.

Inkweaver
- Job: An artisan-mage who crafts enchanted inks, scrolls, and bindings to ensure records endure time and magical assault.
- Duties: Supplies materials for preservation, enchants key documents for durability, and experiments with new preservation techniques.
Echo
- Job: A bard-like figure who preserves oral histories and ensures knowledge survives even if physical records are lost. They are often underestimated but vital in times of crisis.
- Duties: Memorizes critical lore, performs recitations for the Order, and teaches initiates through storytelling.
Rune Carver
- Job: A craftsman who inscribes protective runes on archive walls, reliquaries, and artifacts to shield them from the Necroking’s power.
- Duties: Maintains structural wards, assists Guardians in ritual preparations, and repairs damaged defenses.
