Player: Anderw Sutton

Description

Kildrak Morgrain, last descendant of High King Morgrain, is a bit tall for a dwarf, but so stout as all dwarves are. Now that he has grown he wears an heir of regality in everything. His hair is light brown with shots of red within. He's quite fit for a dwarf as well no beer belly from all the ale. He carries his flaming sword alight with fire in Moradins name whenever foes are near. He wears a hand made set of full plate armor made by his own hands. He has a helmet with a eye slit shaped like a hammer with wings on the sides. His armor is all colored burnt orange and glossy. His shield is a medium sized rectangle shield with a swirling red fireball with white edges to the flame. He wears fairly short a well trimmed and well kept beard.

Kildrak is currently a Templar within the Holy Resistance.

He has been training under Leonard of Dorn for quite some time learning more about the forge and the Divine guidance of Moradin

Birth

Kildrak Morgrain was born in the small village of Hybili to a family of blacksmiths. His grandfather taught him in the ways of the forge and following the ringing call of Moradins anvil.

As a young dwarf he would sometimes travel with his grandfather to The Dragons Heart Forge and learn the ways of the Forgemasters as his family had always done. Ever since his ancient ancestor High King Morgrain had crafted the first legendary forges.

Not long into his training his grandfather was slain in a brutal Cullings that little of his village standing. He set out with newfound allies to rekindle the forge and has not been home since.

Past Adventures

In the Belly of the Beast

Kildrak found himself in the lungs of the beast looking for guidance; he cast the guidance spell.

Holy light bursts from his fingers as he made the guiding symbol on himself. Inspecting the corpse further he realized it was his grandfather's corpse, and shock overtook him.

Through the flows of grief that consumed him, a figure formed in the air, seemingly stitched from the guiding light of the symbol he'd just made... A symbol his Grandfather had taught him to make...

"My little Kil... There is much ahead of you that needs be done. Search my body, take the flaming sword that is your birthright." He said.

You will need to flee if you are to return one day and fulfill the path Moradin has forged for you. The Dragon Heart has been stolen from the forge. It powers the behemoth you are within now… You must head through the belly and out of the beast if you are to survive. It will not be easy, but you must so you can return and rebuild the forge of our ancestors. The dragon heart is the true heart of a red dragon, a dragon who once was selfish and hoarded gold and magical artifacts for their own ends. She gave her life and heart willing to make the forge in service of undoing the Necroking. Her sacrifice built the first Forge, The Dragons Heart Forge."

Summoning the power of the blade with the name of his Deity Moradin he plunged into the depths and found Vis'ord Morgrain. A unknown cousin from Yotenburg. Together they beat back the skeletons of the belly and went deeper. Though Vis'ord thought it foolish seeing another face, not being alone, brought him further into the deeps with Kildrak. Together they found the bowl exit. Blocked by a massive undead skull that devoured everything before it. Arms sweeping out to grab decaying flesh and bile and crushing it between razor sharp teeth. Its eyes glow green; they lock into you, aware of your presence.

After showing the wretched thing Kildrak and his new druid companion Panther leapt from the opening left from killing the undead monstrosity barring their path. Vissord left alone on the edge looking over a verdant forest. Too afraid to even contemplate leaping. Kildrak uses guidance to help Vissord leap down safely. After a few branches and a hard thud Vissord Morgrain made it to the ground. Panther comes down a tree after scouting the area.

Morkinwald Lumberjacks

As they traveled the woodlands of the Necrodom toward Panthers village the heard the sounds of a lumber camp not far off. Investigating they found Morkinwald banner colors flapping in the wind over the camp. Panther suggested to slay all of them for they were enemies to the forest and would hurt her people if given the chance. So Kildrak, Panther, and Vissord stormed in and were quickly surrounded and subdued. They awoke in cages. They were confronted by Lady Merriweather. A Lady of the Law in Morkinwald sent to bring the law to the outer encampments. She interrogated Kidrak and found him to be foolish but good natured. In the night Knoll warbands raided the Lumber camp. Slaying many. Kildrak and Vissord broke free of their cages and lended aid, while Panther shape shifted and slipped out during the confusion.

After the battle, as a sign of mercy and thanks for rendered aid she promised to drop all legal charges against Kilrak and Vissord if they exterminated the Gnoll camp. They grabbed their gear and set off to find the Gnoll camp. After some days searching they followed Gnoll tracks to a small cave in a hillside surrounded by trees. They went inside to investigate and were quickly overwhelmed with Gnolls having to retreat and regroup. In the night Kildrak received strange visions and they heard berries drums and chanting coming from the cave. The ground quaked, and thunder rolled in the heavens but they kept to their camp hoping for the best.

The next morning they found the cave mostly abandoned. They did find a troll chained up in the cave. They chains glowed with a dark red runes that were the same color as the Trolls eyes. It kept raging at them trying to break free and shouting "Free Me!" in Orcish. Kildrak broke the chains and the frenzied troll attacked. Realizing just in time Vissord destroyed the manacle around the Trolls neck and the spell was broken. The once troll slowly returned to her human form. It was Lady Merriweather. Investigating lower in the cave they found the remnants of a completed ritual, most dark and profane. They Gnolls had summoned an Avatar of their God Yeenoghu to lay waste to their enemies. The Avatar had clawed its way out of the cave making a giant hole in the hillside.

They quickly set off for the Lumber camp and found a giant shadowy Gnoll with a three headed flail rampaging among the Lumberjacks. Bodies strewn about, fires raging, Lady Merriweather charged into battle. As Kildrak began to follow a strange old woman materialized before him. He told Kildrak that she had set the gnolls on this path. Her own little rebellion against the Necrodom. She made a deal with him. If he left this place and didn't interfere she would grant him knowledge about the past that would prove useful to him. He begrudgingly agreed and with a word Kildrak and Vissord were sitting on a snowy cliffside overlooking Horga and the plains to its North. Behind him was a massive carved stone entrance to some long forgotten facility of Dwarven design. They cut back the overgrowth and made their way inside.

Inside they found
