A crystal found only on the island of Wolvald, the demand for Galvanite to create Galvanic Crystals turned the entire island into an open air mine by the end of the Last War.

A hard crystal, Galvanite is unique in the way it interacts the lightning, which it tends to absorb within itself then violently discharge.

Commonly used to create the Galvanic Crystals that were used to power magical weapons and devices.
Cultural Significance and Usage
Before the methods were discovered to turn the crystal into a method of storing lightning, the crystals were embedded in armour or talismans and used to protect against lightning magic. The crystals were shaped into spikes that would absorb the energy and then funnel it back along the spike, normally back towards its origin. However, this was a risky form of protection that often ended up in the electrocution of the wearers allies.
Refinement
When cut and shaped, it is then put through an arcane process to allow it to contain lightning magic.
