Jespuoria

Jespuoria is one of seven countries/kingdoms on an island to the south-west of Zostron.
To the east of Jespuoria is the island of Broac Frein.
To the north-east of Jespuoria is the island of Estrad, The United Kingdom of Floale.

Culture

In the country Jespuoria, there's a certain social/cultural hierarchy. In a family, you would call your parents: mom and dad. You would call your grandparents: grandpa and grandma. Outside of a family situation, you would call your teacher: mister (Mr.), missis (Mrs.), and miss (Ms.). In Jespuoria, there is more than just that. When you are with your senior, whether it's your senior at school or job, you would refer to them as 'Aea.' At times, you can use say their name and then 'Aea' after. If the person you're with is your junior, you would refer to them as 'Aeseol.'

History

Just like the rest of the Zostron continent, Jespuoria was mainly inhabited by humans, wizards, witches, halflings, and weredragons. In the beginning, all weredragons belonged to the royal and/or noble bloodline and kept their true identities hidden from their subjects. They only revealed their existence to a select few. However, as time went on, more species and ethnicities moved into the city.

Education

In Jespuoria, elementary, middle school, and high school starts the school year in the middle of Vigir and end during the first week of Jaxthia. Elementary starts in kindergarten a precursor to the 1st grade. After the kingdom and the 1st grade, elementary goes up all the way to the 6th grade. Once a student has graduated from elementary school, they go on to middle school. Middle school starts from the 7th grade and ends in the 9th grade. From middle school, they go on to high school. High school, starts from the 10th grade and will finishes in the 12th grade. From high school, they get to choose to go to either a college/university, a trade school, the military or get a job. How long you attend a trade school or college/university, depends on the course or the major you're talking about. For example, to get the lowest degree for psychology would be 3 to 4 years. To get a master's degree in the same field, would take an additional 2 years. Getting a Ph.D. and/or doctorate degree in psychology, would take another 5 to 10 years. For each college/university, there's an entrance exam. An exam in which the college has a thresh hold in which they'll accept new students, along with their transcripts from their high school. Although each college/university has most if not all courses for any possible degree out there, the college/university would prioritize certain degrees and courses they specialize it.
With that in mind, each college/university has its own requirements as they have limited space for new students. That can be anything like a certain score on the entrance exam, extracurricular activities, and so. With the right forms being submitted, the college/university can either reject or accept you. If all the colleges/universities you applied to have rejected you, you have the option of going to a junior college. A type of college in which you can get the very basic degree all bigger colleges/universities offer. Not only that, but a junior college will also allow you to transfer over to a bigger college/university for a degree like psychology once you finished your time in the college. When it comes down to middle and high school, they run similar to the way college/university runs, at least to some extent. At least half of the middle schools and high schools specialize in something - i.e the visual and performing arts, science, history, and so on. Just like most colleges and universities, or for all other schools, there is a limited amount of space for new students. So, just like colleges and universities, specialized middle and high schools have entrance exams; and they have the right to reject or accept any applications. Especially if they are applying for a visual and performing arts school. One other thing middle schools and high schools have in common with colleges and universities, especially the specialized schools like visual and performing arts schools, students can major in a subject for at least a school year. For example, a student can major in art - i.e drawing and painting. For that school year, the student will have classes based on that major, on top of the basic subjects like math and history. With that in mind, by majoring in a subject like art in middle school and/or in high school, the student wouldn't be able to get a degree in that subject like you would in college or university.
