Steve

Steve is the home and main headquarters for The Heroes of Steve. From a simple hunting lodge to a full-fledged adventuring town, Steve has come a long way. With portals and roads to all major trade cities, it is well on it's way to becoming a large city. Every day trades and travelers come from all over to do business and see the town's attractions and learn its history. Because of the heavy trade traffic, and training regiments formed by The Heroes of Steve, many successful adventurers have come from Steve.

Defences

There are miles of walls around the perimeter of Steve. The walls are only about 4 feet in height. The walls also only reach the main gate and around most of the housing districts leaving the farms and various working houses out of the protection of the walls.   The Fighters Guild is Steve's first line of defense. It has been training volunteers since it's conception. Well armed and well-seasoned veterans train recruits in various forms of combat. There are turrets and watch posts placed strategically around the perimeter of Steve with regular guards.   Should a threat breach the walls, most shopkeepers are armed for protection, and then, of course, The Heroes of Steve. There also exists an allied Black Dragon. But their existence is not widely known or accepted.

Industry & Trade

Most buildings are still owned by The Heroes of Steve. They use the rent from the various businesses and denizens to further the town. A majority of the buildings in The Trade Ward are businesses and supply steady work for most citizens. There are also fields outside of Steve to be plowed for food yield.   Steve's major imports are various metals. The surrounding forest has supplied the town with enough wood to build structures, and The Meeting Stone supplies an easy route for traders and travelers to reach the city to do business.   Steve currently only exports adventurers.

Infrastructure

Steve houses several major infrastructure systems and is constructing others.   Windmills: The fields outside of Steve's walls have several windmills. They were constructed to turn the corn harvested in the fields into flour. There are also some used to pump water up from nearby wells.   Courtyards: There are several small courtyards, and one main courtyard in front of The Hunting Lodge. The major courtyard holds a fountain with statues of The Seven, The Great Oak Tree, and The Meeting Stone. It was once the town center with all of the commerce happening there, but as Steve grew and buildings were built, it became a small park.   Sewers: A major ongoing project is the construction of a sewer system below Steve. This was started very early on in Steve's history but is an ongoing project as Steve expands. The sewers are large enough for most bi=pedal beings to walk in.   Roads: There are several roads in Steve, reaching every quarter. Most are wide dirt paths, but there are several paved brick roads.
