Four travelers heading south decide to stop in Eagle's Landing, a town beset by a terrible plague, after a traveling priestess offers them a reward for finding a cure.
After five local children go missing, the heroes of Eagle's Landing go searching for them, eventually returning to the abandoned dwarven monastery and the halls below.
The group meets the mysterious Lord Saclor, and sews the beginning of new business relationships between the town and the kobolds, as well as the Stoutforge clan of dwarves.
The party agrees to escort the children they rescued in Act II to the Pirate-King William Dazeel, an old friend of Lord Saclor's, for safekeeping. Along the way, they run afoul a succubus, the children are killed, and they enter into the service of a pair of dragons to bring the children back. Amara and Morgann depart.
Dralduin, Theo, and Yasias are sent by Londmera Healthgiver to assist a group of dwarven refugees who were being refused entry into the city of Nujanat. The refugees are eventually freed and brought to River's Edge to settle.
The party returns to the city of Nujanat to investigate the mysterious wizard that has plagued both The Iron Bank and River's Edge.
