Morgann Dincuff
Appearance
Morgann is a tall, muscular human with dark hair and solemn, intense eyes. His long beard hides the scars that seem to give his mouth a permanent frown. Scars, more than any other physical feature, define Morgann. His scars reflect the fights of his young and violent days as well as the hard lessons of the monastery that saved his life. His clothes are usually worn to hide them as much as possible but this man has more scars than any man should have. He is usually garbed in the loose fitting clothes common to his monastic order.
Character Biography
Morgann is the eldest child of a moderately successful merchant family. Morgan and his two sisters rarely wanted for anything. He was loved by his family and liked by his neighbors. As a young boy he always strove to be helpful and do the right thing by others. At ten years old he was heading through the city and back to his father from an errand when he was set on when he was set upon by thugs who thought the child would be carrying gold and when they realized their error they beat Morgann badly.
He survived the beating and, eventually, healed. At first nothing seemed out of the ordinary but over time it became apparent that something changed in the boy. His temper flared easily and quickly. Morgann would become violent when his temper was aroused. He was always wracked with guilt by his actions but couldn't control himself. At fourteen he was embarrassed by one of his friends in front of a girl he liked and lost his temper. He lunged at his friend and beat him almost to death.
Out of fear and concern his parents sent him to the live with the Order of the Iron Road. The Order was known for its strict discipline and martial prowess. The Order taught him that even though his anger was part of him it could be controlled. While the primary focus of the Order is discipline and combat arts every monk had other duties as well and Morgann worked with their wine makers, which the order would sell to surrounding communities.
