Bob the Bard is one of the heroes of Eagle's Landing. After a life of adventuring and traveling, he purchased a brothel and tavern in town known as The Obedient Gentleman, and changed it's name to The Drunken Privateer.

Personal history
Bob was born on the island of In'nad to a woman he only ever knew as Mother, the Witch of In'nad. His mother taught him to read, and he took to books quickly, learning to read almost as fast as he learned to walk. Whenever he was home, Bob's nose could be found parousing one of his mother's books in her library. Bob and his Mother lived outside of the village, in a bigger home then most of the villagers, needing more space for the variety of magical things Mother would get into with her magic. Throughout his childhood, Bob would spend much of his time outdoors, exploring the wildness and making friends with the animals, or helping the other villagers with their tasks, often for days a time. As mother grew older, and Bob grew more independent, she would disappear for weeks at a time. Bob meanwhile, took to the sea with the villager fisherman, staying out on their trips for weeks at a time, finding that he had a talent for it. Inspired by the stories of the outside world he had heard, Bob eventually joined the crew of a trading vessel, The Distant Lass, traveling to different cities in Umor and Kaponarth. His skills as a sailor were useful, but the ships crew found his real talent to be music and story telling. As the years went by, he saw less and less of his mother and his island home, but he made good coin as a sailor and a performer. Seeking out new stories and new places, Bob took his earnings and made his way on to land."
