Campaign 4, Session 12

The group accepts a job from a religious order of thieves.

The mysterious woman turned out to be named Ariella, and she revealed herself to be the leader of a guild of thieves, who all wore masks and worshipped The Street Walker. They shared a pleasant meal, and she explained that on the floor below, there was a group of Troglodytes that were preventing passing below. In agreement for the party to deal with the Troglodytes, she offered them safe haven on this floor, as well as information as to what lies below, and to be their fence, as both Thistlefort and Moorsworth were relatively small towns. The party agreed, and she explained that there was a necromancer who ruled the floors below the Trog's, and that the floor directly below the Trog's was flooded.   The group made their way down a long flight of circular stairs, and eventually came out into a small room lit by pale green light similar to that off the spire itself. There they met a pleasant troglodyte named Skarg, who told them of their god, the Godbox, and that they were simple people living a life of peace. He showed them to the box, which was powerfully magentic, and explained that to pass through below, a sacrifice of metal must be made. Guiellman thought the troglodytes were trying to trick them into a trap and attacked. A battle ensued, and the party was forced to retreat, Christie was held by knife point and released only on the condition that they leave the place forever, and with that the party headed back to third floor, to regroup and strategize.
