Campaign 4, Session 4

The group travels to the town of Thistlefort to try and sell their acquired goods, and obtain new equipment.

The 9th of Oldautumn in 1291 AYD (14.22.1291)   After being amushed in the night, the group decided to seek out civilization before delving further into the spire.  The group set off north in the morning, figuring that since there was a road, it must lead to something. Clanky elected to stay behind, promising to clean the place up, and was concerned about going too far away from the spire itself.   Eventually they reached a small series of homes belonging to the Ironspine family, a group of halfling homesteaders and farmers. They seemed to not trust Caen for some reason, as though they expected him to steal their crop, though they never thoroughly explained what they grew. The rest of the party was able to make a good impression, and the halfings were able to provide them some information about the nearest settlement just up the road, "Thistlefort", which was apparently run by a criminal element. Not to be deterred, the group moved on. When in the town, they decided to split up, Caen elected to try some busking, while Christie elected to investigate the local inn. Trudy meanwhile, decided to annoy a guard for coin.

• Caen's attempts at busking got him into trouble with two of the town's "Guards" who tried to exploit him for gold for a "busking permit".
• Christie went to the Green Forest Inn, and found the place to be in need of a good cleaning. After a discussion with the owner, who claimed to need more help, she paid him 20 gold to improve the place, and he gave her a room for an undetermined amount of time.
• Hans also visited the inn and attempted to have a meal.
• Trudy's attempts to get the guards to give her coins started a fight.
