Lord Vakius Orivor

Vakius Orvivor was a necromancer, who lived in Eagle's Landing. An apprentice of the lich Noul'zadan, he was the secondest richest man in town, and was rarely seen outside his tower, but often hosted important guests there. He had a number of slaves, as well as a son, Narth.   Vakius orchastrated the Firelung Plague that infected the town, as well as the destruction of Fire's Rest, the invasion of Stoutforge Hall, and the Siege of Eagle's Landing, before his death by Alan Quinlan.

    Vakius's Experiment

    Vakius kills several elves, draining them of their blood, and replaces Narth's blood with it as part of a dark ritual to extend his life. The dark ritual is successful and he soon replaces his own blood with it. Narth stops aging at this point, but he also stops growing.

    Purchase of Amadara and Mahamai

    Vakius purchases the travelers Amadara Kamath and Mahamai Khamavant as slaves from Saban One-Eye. He binds them both with geas spells, forcing them into his servitude.

    First Victim of Firelung

    Vakius receives a delivery from Sheriff Jartet Hayden of a large crate that contained a still living victim infected with Firelung. He toyed with the man for days, studying his condition and subjecting him to tortures and necromantic experiments before killing him.

    Infecting Eagle's Landing

    Vakius dumps the firelung victim into the town well. He watches as the disease spreads throughout the town, careful not to let his servants or Narth to leave the tower.

    The Heroes of Eagle's Landing learn Vakius is behind the Firelung Plague, forcing him to flee.

    Theft of the Talisman of Darkness

    Vakius travels to River's Edge and steals the Talisman of Darkness from it's hiding place beneath the town's library. He has his minions (A bound succubus, a mind controlled Alan Quinlan, and a few other summoned demons) attack the town guard as a distraction for these activites. In the confusion, Alan kills the head of the town guard.

    Vakius and his minions attack Johnny Marzetti and Kira Dhalmass on the island of Kamoeba. During the battle, Johnny slays the succubus, freeing Alan Quinlan from her service, but is captured.
