House Mullala
House Mullala is one of the five major houses of the Drow. Their territory is located on the eastern coast of Durarin, including multiple islands. House Mullala is considered one of House Duri's strongest competitor and enemy.
In 8710 b. BF., House Mullala arranges a trade agreement with the Mitractulum. They exchanged weapons and money for monsters like manticores, hellhounds, and harpies, aiming to domesticate them and use them in the war against the elves. Especially House Sbatjss was very interested in those monsters, but due to the hostility towards House Mullala, they couldn't negotiate any trade agreements. House Mullala was known for its large navy and black arches. Those ships were sent out to explore other continents within and outside of The New World.
In 6440 b. BF., House Mullala made a slave trade agreement with The Human Empire. For very little money, the drow allowed the humans to 'park' their slaves in the slave stables of the drow. Since the Empire had no use for slaves in Durarin, they fell under the possession of the drow and especially House Mullala, resulting in exponential growth of influence and power. However, different noble families of House Mullala were looking to claim more power and wealth than they were assigned. Eventually, in 6259 b. BF., a few noble families led by the family Tathryn left House Mullala and with the help of House Duri, those families were able to establish House Tathryn. They stole territory and slaves from House Mullala and especially claimed coastal regions, which were involved in human slave trades. House Mullala was unable to subjugate House Tathryn due to the threat of House Duri.
In 5071 b. BF., matriarch Velmys, corrupted by chaos like no one else, ordered to poison the Pale Tree. Although drow were in direct war with elves, even for the drow the Pale Tree was a sacred place. With that action, Velmys overstepped an unwritten boundary, resulting in a faction-wide curse. All rivers, lakes, and even the ocean in eastern Durarin were poisoned. This eventually led to the Second Throne War, which Velmys lost. With that, the title of the Supreme Matriarch left House Mullala.
Geography
The current territory of House Mullala is located in eastern Durarin. The territory around their capital South-Umbria stretches till Caras Nogoth. House Mullala also claims the Dragon Island and the smaller islands to the west and east of Dragon Island. In total, their territory on the surface measures about 108.000 square miles, which roughly equals the territory claimed by House Duri. The claimed Underdark is believed to be as large as the territory on the surface, and House Mullala is known for building a connection between Dragon island and the mainland of Durarin through the Underdark.History
House Mullala was founded in 9891 b. BF., as a result of matriarch Mullala being victorious over Ceklo and claiming the title as the Supreme Matriarch. Despite her victory, many other noble families didn't join and obey her, which eventually led to a split and founding of House Mullala and House Duri. House Mullala claimed the south of Durarin and the title of the Supreme Matriarch. The rivalry between House Mullala and House Duri kept growing due to the title of ultimate leadership and influence and despite the war against the Elves, the drow houses spent a lot of time manipulating, corrupting, and assassinating each other.
