House Tathryn
House Tathryn is one of five major houses of the Drow. The people are feared seafarers and plunderers and are known to hunt and tame sea monsters like Krakens. Their territory is located on the southern coast of eastern Durarin.
In 4770 b. BF. the navy of House Tathryn managed to tame their first Kraken and domesticated it, using it in the war against the Elves. House Tathryn also had access to most international trading routes with the Mitractulum and The Human Empire. Especially House Sbatjss was interested in the imported monsters from the Mitractulum, which led to a trade agreement between those houses. In 642 b. BF., House Tathryn attacked Mootland and Rauland in Lusitania, looking to expand their territory. However, the Human Empire was able to defend the naval invasion in Rauland and the Yuan-Ti of Mootland eventually subjugated the drow invading their homelands.
Geography
The territory currently claimed by House Tathryn stretches from Caras Nogoth in the east to Fortress Everblaze of House Bellarpassa. Their capital Shadowtouch is located on the southern coast and has one of the largest harbors of the Drow. The territory on the surface measures about 115.200 square miles. The Underdark is considered just as large, however, House Tathryn is known for its harbors in the Underdark. A little part of the Underdark has access to water tunnels leading to the ocean.History
House Tathryn was founded in 6259 b. BF. The noble family Tathryn along with some other noble families left House Mullala and founded it's own house. They claimed territory and slaves of House Mullala, resulting in a war between those families. House Mullala tried to kill or integrate the deserters, while House Tathryn tried to establish its position. With the help of House Duri, House Tathryn eventually managed to reach independence. They claimed the conquered coastal territory themselves and left the western regions to House Duri. House Tathryn focussed on naval expansion and research.
