House Sbatjss

House Sbatjss is one of five major houses of the Drow. They claim the territory of northern Durarin and hold by far the largest territory of all drow. The bloodline of Sbatjss is considered to be related to the bloodline of Lolth. House Sbatjss is known to be exceptional monster hunters and tamers, especially spiders and manticores.

Geography

The current territory claimed by house Sbatjss is located in northern Durarin. It stretches from the mountains of Gar Gunoth in the west to Decay's Doom in the east. House Sbatjss also claims the northern islands around Hobas Talon and Gildin. It's capital Gar Gunoth stands on the western border towards the territory of House Bellarpassa. The territory on the surface measures about 168.000 square miles and the Underdark controlled by House Sbatjss is considered to be just as large. House Sbatjss claims control over the prison of the Decay.

History

House Sbatjss is along with House Duri the oldest house of the drow. It was founded by the ancestors of Lolth, but since Lolth ascended to a diety, the house was named after Sbatjss, the first leading matriarch of House Sbatjss. It is known to be very peaceful compared to other drow houses. House Sbatjss usually stays out of throne wars, however, inner political conflicts with other houses surely exist.
