The New World

The New World is a geographical and political term in Alendia. It describes the territory including the central continents Drakthirr, Ephea, Durarin, the Mitractulum, Tiakis, and Lusitania, and big ocean masses around these continents. It measures roughly 6 million square miles and is considered the center of Alendia. The territory beyond the borders of the New World is called the Old World. This area is not fully explored and rather unknown dangerous lands. However, many different sentient creatures, mostly elves, and humans migrated to the Old World and settled there. People of the New World weren't able to discover civilizations outside of the New World and don't believe to ever discover one. Multiple expeditions have been made, mostly by humans to figure out the borders of the New and the Old World. On their way, they settled islands and continents outside of the New World, but due to the large distance to the capital, they lost dominion and control over these territories.
