Structure
Tere is a Theocracy under The Silver Flame. As such, the structure of leadership is dictated by one's position in the church.
Most acolytes and members of the church place great weight on the hierarchical structure of the church and are instructed to trust in the wisdom of their betters. As such, there are few dissidents and fewer questions and doubts as to the nature of their orders.
There are two branches of The Silver Flame , the ministry and the militant. More information on the militant branch of The Silver Flame can be found in the article dedicated to The Silver Flame .
Ministry
Keeper of the Flame- The absolute power of the church of The Silver Flame responsible for the oversight of both branches of the church
- Rules in Terelan in the Grand Brazier
- The Keeper's name and origin are burnt from the histories of the world. Once anointed as the Keeper of the Flame one is only ever referred to as such, and to name the Keeper is to blaspheme.
- The council of priests charged with overseeing the various aspects of governmental duty
- These preists answer only to the Keeper of the Flame
- The leaders of individual townships and cities within Tere
- Lead with unquestioned authority, answering only to the Sparks of the Flame and the Keeper of the Flame
Culture
Tere's culture is heavily influenced by the church of The Silver Flame.
Great value is placed upon the purification of mind, body, and soul. Citizens of Tere believe that anyone can be taught to purify their soul in the flame, so there is surprisingly little xenophobia. As long as one lives within the tenets of The Silver Flame they can find a home in Tere.
Public Agenda
To purify the lands of Aldora, through education, or through cleansing.

History
The Last War
Upon the death of Emperor Elwin Galifar and the dissolution of Galifar the church of The Silver Flame aimed to purify the rest of the land through conquest. They clashed mostly with Cairharn and Ayrindor the countries with which they now share a border. Their main strife with Cairharn was the rampant crime and apparent lack of greater purpose the citizens of that country displayed. Tere lost the city of Azureport in the War. Their main strife with Ayrindor was the commitment to educate and accrue knowledge. The Church believed that such free access to information would lead to corruption, and that the pursuit of what they consider dangerous knowledge would lead to evil forces being unleashed upon the world. They lost the city of Blackroot in the war. Tere did not do well in the war, as the instability of war gave rise to various cults within the nation. Refusing to allow these cults to gain prominence, they dedicated much of their military might to quell the rise of these cults. While they successfully purged the cults from their nation, their efforts came at the expense of the war. After the War
At the closing of the war, Tere saw little territory gained, but much lost. While the borders of Cairharn and Ayrindor grew, theirs shrank. They were forced to except the foundations of universities within each of their cities, but they were given the right to oversee the studies conducted within these universities to ensure no dangerous knowledge was being researched or disseminated.
