Wolfrau Blackthorne was Old Nick's biological mother. Somewhat of a black sheep in the ruling Wisterwood family after her initiation into the Clockmakers went wrong, Wolfrau began working with salt and joined the Master of Vegetables compound in Deornet where she made offering food.
When Nickolas Blackthorne began to court Wolfrau, her parents put the stipulation that if they married, Wolfrau would be disinherited and take Nickolas' family name. She agreed to this, as did Nickolas Blackthorne, though many in her birth family still believed he was using her for prestige.
She is thought to have developed Silicon Sickness and fled with Nick's twin sister Ninua into the Naefergrene, where both passed away.
