Joan Shellspine- Wisterwood

Joan Shellspine is one of Herleva and Oswin's children. He is the smartest but also the most impulsive and temperamental of his siblings, finding solidarity with the Attercops way of life. He is disinherited after he castrates himself and runs away to join the Shellspine Clan warbands, living as a huntsman. After his mother dies, he reconciles with his father and joins him in laying siege to Blaec Gheal. He and Oswin are put to death, but Sarhild spares Joan makes him a handmaiden, forcing him to live the opposite of the life he wanted.
