Heimrich was the eldest son of Adalheidis of the Dolomedes Shellspine Clan. He married the eldest daughter of Old Nick, Herleva, with whom he had several children that Herleva would disinherit before her death.

Despite the relatively peaceful marriage he enjoyed with Herleva, her family were far more cutthroat than he had ever wagered. After her death, relations between the Attercops and Larchwood soured, quickly turning Heimrich into a scapegoat. After being forced to abdicate, he was beheaded.
