Shaper of Flesh

The Shapers of Flesh are a species of the Ones Below. They are masters of biomancy, the esoteric science of manipulating the physiology of living creatures. The Shapers have altered their own physical forms so much that their origin is unclear; they may once have been Mind Flayers or even a sentient species from one of the worlds in the River of Souls. The Shapers of Flesh frequently capture and experiment on native species of the worlds they invade, altering them for specific purposes such as labor, infiltration, or warfare. Their ultimate goal is to extract any beneficial aspects from the creatures they capture and use them in their process of continual self-augmentation.
