Zanorim
Zanorim is the Archmage of The Mages of Madness, a cabal of deranged sorcerers, paradox-priests, and reality-shifting warlocks who worship insanity as divine revelation. Once a mortal scholar of unparalleled genius, Zanorim shattered his soul willingly to transcend mortality—binding his phylactery within a thoughtform paradox only he can comprehend. His undeath is not cold decay, but a burning engine of arcane entropy, sustained by the raw instability of madness itself.
With skin like cracked porcelain and eyes that spin like gyroscopes, Zanorim's presence distorts perception and warps time around him. He speaks in riddles layered with truth and hallucination, offering visions to the brave—or foolish—who dare to listen. His staff, Nullspindle, warps reality as it passes, and his spells operate on logics that collapse when explained.
Zanorim is a proud ally of The Revelry of Ruin, his madness perfectly suited to its philosophy of joyful devastation and the unraveling of order. During The Fracture War, he openly opposed The Aether Pantheon, crafting arcane labyrinths across battlefields, driving their champions to gibbering ruin, and infecting their divine spells with beautiful chaos. His armies, composed of sentient spells, screaming paradoxes, and spell-warped monstrosities, fought not for territory—but for transformation.
Though many mistake him as unpredictable, Zanorim is methodical in his madness. He sees the Aether Accord not as a treaty—but as a lie wrapped in fear. He seeks to unmake it, not out of spite, but because he believes only in freedom through dissolution.
