Human
Humans are the most widespread and rapidly shifting people of Aigusyl, known across the continent of Amoxis as the Flameborn—not for any elemental origin, but for their relentless drive to grow, consume, rebuild, and reshape the world around them. With comparatively short lives, humans burn bright and fast, achieving in decades what other races might take centuries to contemplate. This temporal urgency has made them both admired and feared by elder races, as no one knows what a Human kingdom will become tomorrow—even less what its people might dream into being.
Unlike the other races, humans claim no single divine creator. Instead, their origin myths are as diverse as their cultures. Some say they were forged from starlight and blood in the final burst of The Fracture War, while others believe they are the children of Major Spirits or forgotten Titans, shaped from primal earth and sky. Whatever the truth, the gods now take keen interest in them—especially those like Tagyn, Goddess of Beasts, and the Dragon Gods, who see humans as useful agents of balance or chaos, depending on their path.
Humans possess no innate elemental or arcane tie, but their adaptability is legendary. In every court, guild, or cult, a human presence can be found: knights who serve Exalted Celestials, scholars apprenticed to ancient Eladrin, merchants dealing with Demon Lords, or even renegade mystics who walk forgotten paths of the Weave. They are seen by some elder races as reckless and undisciplined, but more often, they are acknowledged as catalysts—those who change everything simply by being there.
Where others preserve what was, humans strive for what could be. And in that striving, they reshape the fate of Aigusyl, one firelit step at a time.
