Shifter
Shifters are a unique and resilient folk, who carry the blood of ancient lycanthropic ancestors. Marked by their primal connection to the wild, they possess traits that ebb and flow with their emotions—sharp senses, quick reflexes, and sometimes subtle shifts in appearance like elongated canines, sharpened claws, or faint lupine features.
Long ago, burdened by the curse of Lycanthropy that plagued their lineage, the Shifters found mercy through the compassion of Tagyn, Goddess of Beasts. Moved by their suffering and desire for balance, she granted them a sacred gift: immunity to lycanthropy. This blessing freed Shifters from the torment of uncontrolled transformations and the stigmas attached to their ancestors, allowing them to walk between their Human and bestial natures with control and pride.
Shifters tend to live on the fringes of civilization, honoring Tagyn’s gifts by protecting wild places and maintaining the delicate balance between nature and civilization. Fiercely independent yet deeply connected to their communities, they are often skilled hunters, trackers, and warriors who channel their primal heritage without fear.
Though they carry the legacy of their lycanthropic blood, Shifters stand as living proof that compassion can break curses and that the spirit of the wild can thrive in harmony with reason and restraint.
