Yuan-ti

Yuan-ti are a serpentine race born from the dark rituals of forbidden magic and ancient pacts with the elder serpentine beings like Zyshara. They possess varying degrees of snake-like traits, from subtle serpentine eyes and forked tongues to fully scaled bodies and venomous fangs. Yuan-ti are renowned for their cunning, manipulative nature, and mastery of both arcane and venomous arts.

Often organized into secretive cults and hidden enclaves, yuan-ti seek to expand their influence through subterfuge and domination, viewing themselves as superior to other mortal races due to their divine serpent heritage. Their society is rigidly hierarchical, ruled by powerful sorcerers and priests who claim direct communion with serpent deities and elder beings.

Some yuan-ti are adept shapeshifters, able to shift between Human, Hybrid, and fully serpentine forms, allowing them to infiltrate mortal societies and manipulate events from the shadows. Their presence is often a harbinger of corruption and hidden danger, as they weave intricate plots to achieve their mysterious and often sinister goals.

Despite their often villainous reputation, some yuan-ti tribes have sought redemption or coexistence, striving to reclaim the honor lost through centuries of fear and mistrust. However, the majority remain relentless in their pursuit of power and serpentine dominion, forever entwined with the ancient serpentine forces that birthed them.

You have advantage on saving throws against spells.

Poison Resilience

You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself. You also have resistance to poison damage.

Serpentine Spellcasting

You know the poison spray cantrip. You can cast animal friendship an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can target only snakes with it. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast it using any spell slots you have of 2nd level or higher.
