Celestial / Cosmic
(The beginning of the Campaign)
Festival of the Passing Shadow celebrated in Kemet, centered in Akhet-Khepri.
A Fey emissary reveals that a sacred relic of Sekhmet, presented during the Festival of the Passing Shadow, is a forgery—shattering public faith in the priesthood and triggering political chaos.
The Festival of the Passing Shadow was meant to be a celebration of divine favour and celestial harmony. Instead, it became a flashpoint for crisis. As Pharaohs Auset I and Akl-Abanoub IV led the ceremonial procession, a Fey figure materialised and declared that the penultimate relic — the golden staff of Sekhmet — was a forgery.
This public denouncement caused an uproar in Akhet-Khepri’s temple. As trust in the priesthood crumbled and order began to dissolve, Auset I used the moment to condemn the priesthood's failure, while Akl-Abanoub IV urged restraint and inquiry.
Though the royal couple departed the scene together, the event sowed lasting seeds of distrust, destabilising the kingdom and awakening older forces hidden beneath the sands and across the sea.
