Patriarchy Assembly Building

In every major city in Galidynos there is a building dedicated for the city's Patriarchy assembly. In Cerreg it is made from stone and is a large building hall with a table in the middle. There are 17 seats, one for each district in the city.

To show of wealth the furniture is made from stone and wood alike. Since wood is not an easy ressource for the Cerregians, it is a perfect way for flashing their wealth. And since wealth is one of the conditions to be part of the assembly, wood, gems, and art can be seen in almost every corner of the building.

Purpose / Function

The purpose of this building is to have a place for the leaders of the city to be able to gather in order to issue laws or discuss punishments, should there be any people violating the laws.

In the beginning it was planned to be a church, but later changed after the cathedral of Cerreg was built.

Architecture

The outside is coloured with white and ocher colours. It is one of the few building that is built from the bottom instead of being carved into the cave wall. It is built from sandstone with a few ingraved Glux into the structure. Just to show of more wealth there are windows, which is not nessecary living inside a cave, but glass is an expensive good and therefore the patriarchs wanted glass into their building as well.

Inside there are painted wall made by a few famous artists, showing different stories like the history of Cerreg.
