Remnant

Remnant is the title given to an Amp who possesses extraordinary power that eclipses the majority of the Amp population and holds authority over an entire nation.

Qualifications

To be a Remnant, one prove to be immensely powerful, with no equal in their homeland. This can be accomplished by by killing rivals in one's homeland. Another requirement is to be a figure of worship. A unique method of becoming a Remnant is by defeating an established one in combat, though this is a rare occurrence.

Requirements

Remnants are typically the most powerful Amp in their homelands and hold some political or societal power.

Appointment

A Remnant is given an Emblem, an artifact that possesses unique powers and abilities that work in conjunction with their powers.

Benefits

Remnants are afforded the adoration of the public for their deeds, as well as many gifts from generous donors. These gifts can be treasures, money, and other valuable items. Calamities are afforded political power that's just as immense as their physical power, with the ability to form their own government and legal systems. While it's not a result of their title, the power a Calamity wields is a massive benefit as many will acquiesce to their requests as few would willingly incur their wrath.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Each Remnant possesses an Emblem, a charged artifact that possesses unique powers and abilities that can be used in conjunction with their own power.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A Remnant can be stripped of their title if they are defeated by an opponent who isn't a Calamity.

Cultural Significance

While Calamities are mainly thought of as political leaders of their respective nations, some see them as legitimate deities, with Typhon and Amerson being referred to as the God of Thunder and War respectively. Any myths and legends have been shared for centuries due to their long lives.
