Anthony Clarke, also known as the Sworn, is an extraordinarily powerful Amp and a member of the Remnants, one of the most powerful people in the world.

Sworn is a Remnant, marking him as one of the the strongest beings in the world. Unlike other Calamities who live relatively comfortable lives, Sworn rejects comfort and has lived a harsh life as a hermit in order to exercise his discipline.
Powers
- Superhuman Strength: Sworn possesses immense superhuman strength, capable of easily overpowering most Amps. He hones his strength through intense physical conditioning such as moving multi-ton boulders and using massive trees as makeshift barbells.
- Superhuman Durability: Sworn possesses extraordinary resilience to harm. This doesn’t just extend to physical harm, but to the elements as he travels to very cold environments.
- Superhuman Speed: Sworn can move at immense speeds.
- Superhuman Stamina: Sworn can operate at peak physical condition for days on end with minimal negative effects.
- Longevity: As an Amp, Sworn’s cellular regeneration renders his aging much slower that an ordinary human, allowing him to appear to be a man on the cusp of middle age despite living for centuries.
- Gyrokinesis: Sworn can manipulate the gravitational force of not only himself, but his surroundings. His control can extend to entire cities.
- Imprisonment: Sworn can imprison opponents by creating a strong gravitational force around them.
- Flight: Sworn can use his Gyrokinesis to fly at immense speeds.
- Force Enhancement: Sworn can use his gyrokinesis to enhance the strength of his attacks
- Singularity: Sworn can create a field of gravity so strong that it can collapse into a miniature black hole.
Abilities
- Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Sworn possesses extraordinary skill in combat due to centuries of experience. While he lacks any formal training, especially in weaponry, he nevertheless can easily outmatch most opponents using his physical strength and power over gravity. His self-created style is relatively straightforward, primarily using strong punches and kicks while using his gyrokinesis to enhance his range.

Personal history
Clarke was born in Isla, an island country known for its corruption. He grew up in squalor, with only his powers to give him an advantage. He met a woman who was a powerful warrior who taught him how to use his power. He grew in strength to the point that people began to worship him. They began to call him a Remnant. Clarke found himself in a position that stood in stark contrast to his humble beginnings. While he could become the ruler of the country unchallenged, he decided to find something new to pursue, a decision spurred by the passing of his mentor.
He developed a following of people who joined him in his quest to achieve self discipline and enlightenment. This following would dwindle throughout the decades until he was the only one left. Much of his fellowship composed of ordinary people who couldn’t handle the harsh conditions he was willing to subject himself to and even the Amped among them found it too taxing. This dedication led him to being called Sworn.
Sworn found himself joined by others who shared his title. His encounters varied in amicability, but he learned quite a bit from his colleagues. Like the rest of them, he encountered the Fallen at one point. Rather than seek to defeat him through his own strength, which seemed futile, or giving up entirely, Sworn decided to investigate him. Occasionally working with the Plague of Mist, Mariana Reed, he would search the world for any information that can be gathered on the Fallen that could be used against him. He soon would put this mission on hold, seeking self-betterment instead, but he’d dedicate some time to his investigation.

Clarke is dedicated to achieving self discipline through constant training and journeying throughout the world. He also has been conducting a centuries old investigation of the Fallen, seeking to understand his motives and goals to prepare against him.

Contacts & Relations
Among his fellow Calamities, Sworn is seen as eccentric and unpredictable. Despite this, he holds the respect of the rest of them. He’s a close friend of Mariana Reed, as the two have traveled together on multiple occasions. He and Volkr Amerson maintain an amicable relationship.
