House Ssissth
The head of the nine eliatrope houses, House Ssissth rules over the rest of the eight houses and struggles to maintain the balance of power. Headed by the most rare and powerful dragons, the house is relatively small compared to the rest.
Structure
Holding the highest ranks in all the Eliatrope houses are the Salvo family, made up of the Sovereign Dragons also known as Lungwangs. They are in charge of sitting in on official arguments between houses and the various overlords, offering their insights and declaring which side is in the right. The rest of House Ssissth rarely interacts with the rest of the continent, focusing more on wide-ranging threats to the eliatrope. Underneath the Lungwangs are the Crypt Dragons of the Sepa family, who are in charge of watching over the dead of the houses and the passage of Eliatrope souls to the afterlife. Below them are Time Dragons of House Taira, in charge of maintaining the temporal order. After them, the Dream, Astral, and Etheric dragons of Wuru, Thash, Achuak families maintain the houses and pursue their own goals
Like all the great houses, the Eliatropes follow the same hierarchy as the dragon they stem from. Unlike the other houses, here even the lowest Eliatrope is ranked equal to or even higher then even the most powerful of dragons from the other houses, with exceptions for the draconic leaders of the houses.. Sovereign Eliatropes rule over the others, Crypt Eliatropes hunt necromancers who defile draconic dead, Time Eliatropes experiment with time magic, Dream Eliatropes delve into the Dimension of Dreams, Astral Eliatropes explore the Astral Plane, and Etheric Eliatropes ward against the Ethereal Plane.
Public Agenda
House Ssissth goal is to rule over the other houses and make the most important decisions, preventing an all out war between the great dragons. They are content with maintaining the status quo, and constantly shift favor between the houses to prevent any one house from gaining to much power.
Assets
House Ssissth gains annual tribiute from all houses, granting them power in every area. This, combined with the house being headed by the most powerful of the dragons, means that House Ssissth is the uncontested ruler of the Nine.
History
The Ssissth house was the first to establish itself, and soon after the Lungwangs coerced or convinced the other great dragons to form alliances and houses, least they tare Sarusan apart with their bickering.
