Thilivern Keep
The Thilivern Keep is the seat of the Nicaean Empire in Edralas. It is the farthest northwest building in its "quarter" of Edralas, with almost all of the temples in the city nearby.
Purpose / Function
The Thilivern Keep was originally built as the host for the throne of the Nicaean Empire in their new capital. It is partially integrated into the foothills of the Orthu Mountains and is meant to be seen from anywhere in the city or nearby.
Architecture
The same white stone used for the city walls and other government buildings around the continent is also used in the Keep. The building itself is like a central castle keep, with a few smaller spires above. The Keep is also surrounded by smaller buildings, including those necessary for their staff (barracks, stables, etc). Around those buildings is a smaller wall built in the same style as the city walls.
History
The Thilivern Keep was finished in 599, about midway through the construction of Edralas as a whole.
