Empress Azuar is the current leader of the Nicaean Empire. She represents the continuation of a long line of Edralas Family Emperors and Empresses, though is the first of her family to be considered a Half-Elf.

Azuar is seen as a benevolent ruler, and also a progressive one. She has focused on the relationships between the different races in the Empire, giving more power to the cultural attaches dispatched to the major cities of Nicaea.
She also has embraced the rise of Aetherium mining, and the expansion of air travel that it allows. To allows this, she has encouraged the expansion of the Royal Council by expanding the role of Court Alchemist and adding the role of Logistician.
