Nicaea

The continent of Nicaea is the largest continent in the world of Aetheria, taking up a large portion of the southern hemisphere. Its position just south of the equator leads to a warmer climate, most notably seen in the Kasesh Desert. West of the Orthu Mountains can be found the Sylva Forest, and south of the mountain range is the colder Campestri Plains .
Nicaea is ruled by the Nicaean Empire, a conglomeration of smaller states brought under the common banner by the ruling Edralas family (from which the capital city, Edralas, gets its name).
