Kurgess Arena

Little more than a rectangular hole in the ground, the Kurgess Arena has nevertheless grown a popular stop for many travelers passing through Zenris. Whether it's soldiers and airship crew letting off steam with a fistfight or passing merchants placing bets, the edges of the Arena show off the cosmopolitan nature of the city.

Purpose / Function

The organizers are not eager for the spotlight themselves, but they do encourage each fight to be in worship of Kurgess himself. Only fair fights are allowed, often not involving magic. Any step out of line is treated harshly and quickly, often with permanent bans on attendance.
In recent years, a tavern has opened nearby with the goal of glorifying the combatants called the Champion's Rest.
