Dairydell
The Halfling village of Dairydell lies well north of Essillion, on the path to the northern parts of the Northguard Plains. It is home to mostly Halflings, including Lightfoots, Tallfellows, and even a few Stouts.
The leader of Dairydell is Delia Goodearth, along with her husband Jasper. They make the final decisions, but they most often with meet with a small council, which includes Sam Steerfriend, Tawny Copperkettle, and Trina Brushgather
Nevil Hogcollar runs the local tavern, named The Pig and the Pitcher, which provides simple fare, and good drink. Nevil is also a prominent pig farmer, and he gets help running the tavern from his daughter Saral. He spends as much time in the tavern as he can, but often is pulled away with his duties on the farm. Saral is amiably and is often trying to come up with different and interesting drinks and food combinations.
Other notable people include Callus Elderberry, the head of the local supply store; Garth Goodearth, the blacksmith, and a Stout Halfling at that; Trym Goldfound, the owner of the windmill and the small restaurant called Mill's Meals.

80% Lightfoot Halflings; 17% Tallfellows; 3% Stout

Defences
Aside from some fences, and the protection of the Centaurs of Dainthya, the Halflings of Dairydell rely on their luck and blessings of Parfin. They are typically free from danger, but occasionally have some wild animals or random beast come through.
Most often the protection of the Centaurs is enough.
Infrastructure
The enterprising folk of Dairydell have done well with their location, owing to a great supply of water, good fields, and an abundance of livestock. They have built a large windmill, that helps grist the grain, as well as provide other services.
They have wool shops, a good blacksmith, and a small trading shop
Districts
Dairydell consists of three main parts; the village centre; the humble homes; and the fields.
The Village Centre is known as Downhill Falls and holds the council hall, the tavern, the windmill, and wool collectors.
It is where the business of the town is done, and where the few travelers would gather.
There is no central place for visitors to stay but most villagers will offer up their barns or homes to those of good intent
The Humble Homes are located in the middle part of the village, south of Downhill Falls, and make up the majority of the houses and living spots of the population. They hold the farmers and craftspeople, as well as many animals and pets. Simple dwellings with little finery, but they are all very comfortable, as are most Halfling homes
The Fields are the southernmost area of Dairydell and hold the farms and homesteads of the village. Farmhouses, with animals and livestock roam freely, and can be seen and heard from the path that lies just south of the fenced-in area of the Fields.
Assets
Dairydell has a blacksmith, wool shop, grain depot, trade shop, and tavern. They do not do too much trading outside but occasionally they travel or have visitors that they trade with.
History
Dairydell is a new village that has recently founded when the roads to the north became safer. The friendship of the Centaurs of Dainthya predated the founding of the village, but made the decision to settle much easier.
Their location is pretty ideal, and they take full advantage of it.
Points of interest
Downhill Falls is a large hill with a pond resting atop it, with a flow of water into a pool at the bottom. A great source of water, and protection from many harsh elements, and beasts.
The Halflings let many animals drink there and have even befriended some of them for some extra protection around their village. These include foxes, dogs, and even a couple wild boar. The foxes sometimes get a bit too aggressive with the sheep but for the most part everyone gets along.
The windmill is also a prime location for business and also for sightseeing, and defense. Many nights have been spent by a rotating guard of militia tasked with overseeing the surrounding countryside. A small restaurant is ini the bottom of the windmill also, for some light snacks and refreshment.
Geography
The heavy grass of the southern path gives way to lush fields and light grass as one travels further north into Dairydell itself. The lands are ideal for farming and grazing and the Dairydelvians make great use of it and all the gifts the land brings.
The hill of Downhill Falls dominates the view, and rolling hills into and through the main parts of the village make it both interesting and challenging sometimes.
Plenty of fresh water is available for the population and animals of Dairydell, owing to the large natural cistern atop of Downhill Falls.
Natural Resources
Dairydell is the perfect farming village and they have a supply of wood, wool, milk, livestock, some metals from the pond and hill, and plenty of food.
