Created by the Demons to be their ultimate weapon in the Realm Wars against Caeles and Aequus, the Apocalypse Knights are proto-human soldiers born to fight. They are demons engineered through artificial evolution to resemble humans, at first in an attempt replicate and seize the power of The Nine. When the first completed prototype failed to follow its restraints and went rogue, the next four were made stripped of their human-like conscience, becoming death-obsessed puppets for their masters.
