Abrirr Confederacy
The Abrirr Confederation1 is one of the main tribal alliances found in northeastern Adynía, centered around the river Rúk. It was originally founded by the orcish Hörraníans and Törrans in northwestern Úrún, who eventually convinced some of the þirks -a human tribe in Gráhúlysía across the river- to join them, which resulted in the þirks splitting into the West-Þirks who migrated to the Lakú Mountains on one hand, and the East-Þirks who stayed behind on the other.
In addition, a number of displaced people from Úrún and the Wild Mountains have been adopted into the three founding tribes in exchange for defense against -and sometimes vengeance upon- their enemies. While this has bolstered their numbers, it has not only made numerous enemies for the Abrirr Confederacy but created plenty of opportunities for its warriors to prove themselves in battle and (hopefully) acquire riches in the process.
The confederacy's capital is Voló, main settlement of the hörraníans, where the chiefs or krú of each tribe gather biannually -at spring and autumn equinoxes- to discuss matters relating to the organization as a whole, swear oaths and perform joint rituals to strengthen the bonds between them.
