Alric Solberg (/ɔːlrɪk sɒlbəːɡ/)
Alric Solberg
Alric is the close friend of Xavier and they have been by each other's side since they were both very young. He is always willing to help out Xavier in anyway he can, whenever he can. He is almost entirely of the Ice element but is far stronger physically than magically. He wields a shield to match his defensive fighting style.

Alric is generally in quite good condition, he's quite a bit bulkier than Xavier despite being shorter.

Personal history
Alric was born to the loving family of Davonius Alricke and his Isutopian wife, Elin Solberg. She insisted that their child be named after Dave in some way to prove to him that he was human and does deserve life. When they married, Dave took Elin's surname so she suggested his original surname - Alricke - to be their child's name. This later got shortened to Alric, as the less archaic spelling.
In 341, when he was 10, he lost his parents to bandits who raided their caravan. Alric was able to get away quickly enough to evade them, however there was nothing he could do to save his parents. He returned to Emwood alone and explained to the local guard (Templars, at the time - see Treaty of Shared International Protection) what he just witnessed and a search party was immediately dispatched. In the meantime, one soldier took Alric to see Luxrin and explained the situation. It was there that Luxrin decided to take Alric in and raise him in place of his parents. Now growing up beside Xavier, they both became very close friends, always by each other's side and were barely seen apart. Alric also learned swordfighting, just like Xavier, and he became a skilled swordsman. His preferred stance was very defensive, opting to be patient and react to his opponent as opposed to being aggressive.
In 351 AFB, Xavier lost his home, and crucially, Luxrin. Since Alric didn't spend his entire life under Luxin, he saw him as more of an uncle rather than a father - but he could still understand how Xavier felt at that moment. Xavier had vowed revenge on the man that brought ruin to his family, a villain named Vezran, and Alric didn't hesitate to go with him. Together, they would take on the world to hunt down and eliminate Vezran and stop his foul plans.
Once the Lord of Chaos was finally defeated months later, alongside his friends Xavier, Thaedrin Eaglad II, and Droconos, the party had the freedom to do effectively whatever they wanted. In one of their adventures, they went to explore the ancient kingdom of Barrodor, high in the western cliffs in the The Featherlands. They could not have anticipated what they would find there: Davonious Alricke himself. It was mere coincidence, Dave was only there to return to his roots and pay respects. Dave didn't know what happened to Alric after about 341 so seeing him there was a shock to him, but it was no where near as much of a shock to Alric witnessing his long-dead father.
At least I think so. Where Alric meets Dave again is a bit up in the air right now.
Education
Like Xavier, with the lack of schools or any kind of public teaching in Emwood, Alric was home taught.
Employment
Alric never really got a solid job as was always unsure what to do with himself. Growing up alongside Xavier, he learned the sword as well and that was what he thought himself best at. But was that what he wanted? To be a soldier? A mercenary? A guard? He wasn't so sure. For a couple years he worked part time at the local shop in Emwood for some pocket money but eventually quit due to it being so miserable to him. Once he started the more adventurous and nomadic life that leaving Emwood brought him, he never wanted to turn back.
Mental Trauma
Alric was present when he lost both of his parents to bandits in 341 BFB. I didn't directly witness his mother's death but he knew what befell of her. He didn't, however, know what happened to Dave. Was he killed? Did he escape? All Alric knows is that Dave never did come back to Emwood. With the loss of his family, Luxrin offered to take him in and raise him since he was still a young boy. This was how he grew to be so close to Xavier.
